Eat The Frog. It’s a metaphor: if you had to eat a frog, would you rather do it before or after dinner?
You’d be dumb to save it for later when you're full from eating and already feel exhausted. Get it done first thing when you wake.
That’s your big uncomfortable task. For me, that’s trading and recording.
The easy stuff like checking analytics, scrolling YouTube comments, save for later in the day.
Every morning, you’ve got a tank of brain points (another concept I made up which everyone now refers to). You start the day with 100 brain points.
Every task drains some:
Checking your phone: -5
Arguing with your gf: -20
Going on IG: -10
And so on.
By the time you sit down to do the hard task, you’ve got just 40 left, but the task needs 60
That’s why you feel mentally incapable of starting. You’re not lazy, you’re just empty.
So what do you do? Wake up, don’t check your phone, don’t eat, don’t talk. Just sit down and do the hard task first.
That’s how you conserve brain points. Then go do the easy stuff later when your brain’s already fried.
You don’t just waste brain points in the morning. If you end your day watching TikToks, arguing with your girl, playing games, you’ll wake up with 90 brain points instead of 100.
Over time, that adds up. Imagine the version of you that doesn’t waste them, you could wake up with 120 brain points. You’re focused, efficient, unstoppable.
Most people are wrecking their performance for the next day without even realizing it. I don’t get into arguments.
If a girl starts spamming me with long emotional messages, I don’t even read them. Just send one voice note and bounce.
No drama.
No wasted brain points.
I haven’t even checked my own emails in years. You think rich people are out here checking every notification?
No.
That’s brain fatigue.
That’s why they hire assistants.
